The Dixon Municipal Band Proudly Sponsors the
Sauk Valley Arts & Culture Commission Website

The Dixon Municipal Band performs a series of
10 Summer Concerts,a Christmas Concert, and marches in both Dixon's
Memorial Day Parade and the Petunia Festival Parade.

Our Summer Season generally starts
the first week of June and runs through the second week of August.
Concerts are on Thursday evenings in Page Park at 7:30pm.
[The Band Shell is located just North off of the Peoria Ave. Bridge, past the Dixon High School on Lincoln Statue Drive]

Once every summer we break away from the Thursday night concert venue and
move to the Lee County Courthouse lawn to perform a spectacular Patriotic
Concert as part of the Annual Petunia Festival Activities, This concert is held on
Friday at 7pm during Petunia Festival Week.

Our Christmas Concert corresponds yearly with
Dixon's Annual Christmas Walk.
We play Saturday evening at the Historic Dixon Theatre at 7pm

We proudly march every year in Dixon's Memorial Day Parade,
to honor our nation's veterans. After the 10am parade, we join in an outdoor
service at Oakwood Cemetery along with hundreds of community members,
notable speakers, dignitaries, and representatives
from all branches of the military.

The Dixon Municipal Band heads up the Annual Petunia Festival Parade by
playing Patriotic marching songs all along the parade route. Thousands of
visitors come to Dixon each year to watch the parade, enjoy the carnival and to
partake of the three stages of entertainment and the large variety of food and
drinks along the Rock River in Page Park. The Festival runs each year around
the 1st week of July over the fourth of July Holiday.

* Ideally, we would like you to be at all rehearsals. In reality, we understand that it may not be possible due to
